CHSQ/Dance for Life: The rhythm of Dance for a Good Cause

- Over a dozen multicultural dance troupes will join forces and use their talent to celebrate the diversity of life. - Amongst the artists expected, Travis Knights, who worked on the set of the Warner Brothers production Happy Feet, will be donning his tap shoes for a good cause! - Manning the turntable, the Montreal pop star, P-Thugg, promises to get even the shyest spectator tapping their toes.

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 20, 2008) - Because blood unites us beyond colour and dance pulses through the everyone in the world's veins, the Canadian Hemophilia Society - Quebec Chapter (CHSQ) is proud to present the benefit show "Dance for Life", which will be held on November 1st, starting at 8 p.m. at L'Espace Dell'Arte in Montreal.

A program that reflects diversity

With over forty artists appearing on stage, this evening is a unique opportunity to discover dance troups as varied as they are talented; Academie Flamenca de Montreal, Balgari, Echine Do, Ecole de danse Gilles Beaulieu, Estacao da luz, Fearless, La Tangueria, Orpheus from the Montreal Hellenic community, Saltimambo, Sirena, SoloSalsa, Studio 88-Swing - apprenez a danser, Studio Danse et Vous, Studio Tango Montreal and tap dancer Travis Knights.

A rising star in comedy, Daniel Tirado, who appeared at the 2005 Just for Laughs Festival, will be our MC for the evening, while Montreal pop star, P-Thugg, promises to light up the dance floor!

All profits from this evening will go to Quebecers living with a bleeding disorder and those contaminated through a blood transfusion.

About CHSQ

For almost 50 years, the mission of the Canadian Hemophilia Society has been to improve the health and quality of life of people suffering from an inherited bleeding disorder as well as those suffering from the consequences of a contaminated blood transfusion. (Some of these people also contracted HIV and/or hepatitis C).
