CIDA/Media Advisory: Canadians Making a Difference in the World Featured at Canada and the World Pavilion

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 6, 2005) - Three new profiles of Canadians making a difference in the world are currently on display at the Canada World Pavilion in Ottawa. The work of Zorianna Hyworon, Dr. Paul Filion, and Mary Heather White illustrate how Canadians of all ages and from all walks of life are doing extraordinary things to reduce poverty in countries around the world. They are among the more than 55 Canadians from coast-to-coast have been profiled by the Canadian International Development Agency since February 2003.

Canada and the World Pavilion celebrates and communicates Canada's relationship to the world. Canadian and foreign visitors come to develop a better understanding and appreciation of Canada's international role through their experiences at the Pavilion. The Pavilion's main exhibit presents Canadians' achievements on the world stage under three themes: Spirit, Heart and Mind.
