Cimetrix and Kepware Collaborate on GEM/PLC Connections

Leaders in GEM and OPC Standards Bridge the Gap

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwired - Nov 6, 2014) - Cimetrix Incorporated (OTCQB: CMXX) (www.cimetrix.com), a leading provider of factory automation and equipment control software solutions for the global semiconductor, photovoltaic, LED, and other electronics industries, announced today that the Cimetrix CIMConnect™ SECS/GEM software product is now updated for use with the KEPServerEX® communications platform from Kepware Technologies.

Kepware's KEPServerEX combined with the Cimetrix CIMConnect software allows OEMs to connect their PLC-controlled equipment to SECS/GEM and GEM 300 interfaces via an OPC-compliant interface.

CIMConnect is the leading solution for developing SECS/GEM interfaces. KEPServerEX, Kepware's flagship solution, communicates with diverse automation devices and software applications using a library of more than 150 protocols. The platform supports an array of native vendor interfaces and open standard interfaces, such as OPC.
