CineMaya Media Group Selects Milpitas, California for New West Coast Operations; Celebrates 7th Anniversary of The Indian Express North American Edition

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - August 27, 2007) - CineMaya Media Group (PINKSHEETS: CNMY), a leading media, entertainment and marketing services company focused on India and the Indian Diaspora throughout the world, has experienced an aggressive growth phase during the past year, and August has showed no signs of slowing.

This month, CineMaya Media Group (CMG) opened its new US West Coast operations in the great city of Milpitas, California, near the Bay Area and Silicon Valley. This summer also marks the 7th year anniversary of the company's principal publication, The Indian Express North American Edition, a rapidly growing and already second largest Indian newspaper in North America.

In recognition of these great milestones, the company held a gala dinner on August 17, 2007 in Silicon Valley. Mayor Jose Esteves, Mayor of Milpitas, and Sunil Hali, Chairman and CEO of CMG and Publisher of The Indian Express North American Edition, attended the event along with a guest list of over 150 prominent businessmen and community leaders representing the large Indian-American population.

Mr. Hali opened the program highlighting the corporate mission of CMG and how the company aims to continue building on its great service to its niche market, the Indian Diaspora in North America, and the broader market in India. "Our integrated portfolio will help make CineMaya Media Group a media powerhouse for the South Asian Diaspora," said Hali. Mr. Neeraj Dhar was also introduced as the new Business Head of the West Coast operations for CMG, along with the new staff for the West Coast office including heads of sales, marketing and circulation.

The Mayor of Milpitas, Mr. Jose Esteves, presented a special proclamation from the City of Milpitas to The Indian Express North American Edition and to CineMaya Media Group, welcoming both to the City of Milpitas and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Also present was entrepreneur and banker Sailesh Mehta (former Chairman & CEO of Providian), who lavished praise on the vision and planning of CMG. Mr. Mehta said that nearly six years ago, when Mr. Hali first pitched the idea of setting up a media group to serve the Indian American or NRI community, he was struck by the pioneering vision and scope of the project. He stated he was not sure how such an ambitious plan would be accomplished, but is very happy to see the results and that same plan being well executed today. In conclusion, he also stated, "I wish you all the success in the future and I am sure that you will give your competitors a run for their money."
