Mr. Jayaram Komati, Chairman, Telugu Times Media. Inc., stated, "We are very happy that Telugu Times has been able to flourish by completing its fourth successful year and has become an important brand among the Telugu families in the US. We are excited that our partnership with CineMaya Media Group will allow us to expand our reach and presence within the community." Mr. Komati is a restaurateur and owner of the Swagat Group of Restaurants, and is a well-known community leader in the US. He is also the President Elect for the Telugu Association of North America (TANA), a nationwide umbrella body of the Telugu community in USA.

"In USA, Malayalees, Punjabis, Gujaratis, Tamilians and other Indian communities have newspapers in their own languages and the Telugu Times has filled the gap for the Telugu community. Telugu Times has become known not only as a media vehicle for the Telugu community for comprehensive news, but also a media connection between the community and its motherland," said Prasad Garapati, Vice Chairman of the Telugu Times, and an entrepreneur with numerous business interests in India, Dubai, and the US.

"Telugu Times is packaged as a 32 page tabloid news publication for the Telugu community with content collected across America and Canada including up-to-the-minute political, business and cinema news from Andhra Pradesh, India. From the beginning, Telugu Times actively worked with all city-based Telugu associations and national bodies such as the American Telugu Association (ATA) and Telugu Association of North America (TANA)," stated Mr. Subba Row V. Chennuri, Managing Director & Editor of Telugu Times. Mr. Chennuri is a media professional turned entrepreneur with over two decades of hands-on experience in media in AP and India.

From New York, Mr. Sunil Hali, Chairman, CEO and Publisher of CineMaya Media Group, explains, "The Telugu community is the second largest Indian ethnic group in the US and is rapidly expanding to Canada. Partnering with Telugu Times is a natural choice for us as it complements our overall business model of serving Non-Resident Indians with a platform of media vehicles, entertainment, and marketing services."

"Our print properties cover an estimated 45% of the Indian news-reading audience in North America, segmented by sub-ethnicity and vernacular languages," stated Nayan Padrai, President and COO of CineMaya Media Group, who was present for the event. "The Indian Express North American Edition caters to the pan-Indian English news readers, while Divya Bhaskar, a Gujarati weekly, serves the Gujarati-reading audience, and the Telugu Times caters to Telugu-speaking NRIs. This bundled offering is a great platform for advertisers across the board to promote their products and services to a national audience segmented by ethnicity and language preference. It is something few others, if any, can offer."

The new media kit for Telugu Times in association with CineMaya Media Group was unveiled at the event, and the group of attendees extended their continued support for Telugu Times while welcoming CineMaya Media Group to Hyderabad.
