CircleBlack,, the online financial data aggregation and empowerment platform for financial advisors and their clients, today announced that it has appointed veteran executives Bill Bartzak and Michael Castellano to join its board of directors. These strategic appointments, the first by CircleBlack, are indicative of the company's commitment to serve the wealth management industry by empowering financial services firms with best in class technology and client communications capabilities in an increasingly high-speed, data driven and mobile marketplace.

CircleBlack believes that today's financial advisor and their firms must take advantage of technology, harnessing its power to their benefit and the benefit of their clients. CircleBlack provides the tools, data and overall environment for financial advisors to enhance their practices and the powerful advice they give. Advisors that leverage CircleBlack's technology provide investors with richer more connected wealth management relationships.

"CircleBlack is the exo-skeleton that makes the financial advisor of today faster, stronger, more intelligent about their client relationships," says John Michel, CEO, CircleBlack. "Staying top of mind with one's clients in a world of constant noise and distractions, and competition for their business has never been more important -- we put clients and their advisors on a mutual level of engagement designed to reinforce an already powerful bond. This first round of board appointments will help CircleBlack to further its objectives of empowering financial advisors, and their clients, by providing the company with guidance from two of the brightest minds in the financial services and medical services industries."

Mr. Bartzak is currently a member of the senior leadership team at ABILITY Network, a healthcare workflow services company. Prior to being acquired by ABILITY, Bartzak was the CEO and founder of MD On-Line, Inc. MD On-Line was a leading edge provider of technology solutions that helped make doctors' practices much more efficient and profitable. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Public Health and Medicine of New Jersey and the Board of Advisors for Investors Bank. In 2010, Bill was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the state of New Jersey.

"I believe in the work that CircleBlack is doing, and am honored to serve on its board," said Bill Bartzak. "CircleBlack's functionality is offering advisors a valuable tool that transfers seamlessly into the future of financial interaction between advisors and their clients. I look forward to taking my experiences in building and running a successful technology offering for doctors, to the realm of the independent financial advisor -- two fields with many similarities."

Mr. Castellano has extensive executive level experience in the financial services and wealth management industries. He currently serves as a Director / Trustee of the BlackRock Closed-End Fund complex. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of Lazard, one of the world's preeminent financial advisory and asset management firms. Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Castellano held various senior management positions at Merrill Lynch & Co. from August 1991 to August 2001, including Senior Vice President-Chief Control Officer for Merrill Lynch's capital markets businesses, Chairman of Merrill Lynch International Bank and Senior Vice President-Corporate Controller. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch & Co., Mr. Castellano was a partner with Deloitte & Touche where he served a number of investment banking clients over the course of his 24 years with the firm.

"Financial Services is an exciting and ever evolving industry. I am looking forward to helping CircleBlack create and deliver technology that strengthens the relationship between advisors and their clients," stated Michael Castellano. "The company is at the cutting edge of empowering the latest technology for a mobile world that is ever connected."
