Cirrus to Demo Data Migration Server at EMC World

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Apr 21, 2016) - Cirrus Data Solutions, a provider of non-intrusive storage migration solutions for enterprise and cloud data centers, today announced it will exhibit its flagship product Data Migration Server at the upcoming EMC World, to run May 2-5, 2016 at The Venetian, Las Vegas, NV. Cirrus Data will demo DMS at booth #962.

EMC World is the premier technology forum examining data center modernization strategies and technologies including flash, software defined storage, converged infrastructure, and rack scale architectures to hybrid cloud and modern data lake systems. Event organizers say, "EMC World will help you turn plans into actionable next steps."

Tier-1 storage vendors and professional services teams are using Cirrus Data Migration Server for storage migration projects in mission critical enterprise environments. DMS is ideal for use cases including: local storage migration (storage refresh), remote data center migration (DC consolidation or move), and physical to virtual (legacy to cloud transformation) conversions. No downtime is required throughout the deployment and migration process.

The workload can be migrated to new storage while DMS stays in place to emulate the old storage, thereby deferring the cut-over downtime indefinitely.

"To date, tens of petabytes of migration capacity has been sold to global professional services teams who use our Data Migration Server for performing near zero impact data migration and data center moves, realizing up to 71% resource savings for migration projects," says Wayne Lam, Cirrus Chairman and CEO.
