The editorial staff of Storage Magazine and selected 43 finalists in a range of categories out of approximately 200 entries. Finalists in the competition are distinguished by their innovation, value and capabilities. Three winners -- gold, silver and bronze -- will be announced in each category in the February issue of Storage Magazine.

The Cirtas Bluejet Cloud Storage Controller is the world's first enterprise-grade cloud-enabled storage system. Bluejet supports both backup and tape replacement to the cloud, as well as primary data storage in the cloud, giving end-users a path to begin using cloud storage as a secure off-site repository for backups and leverage the same infrastructure for Tier 2 and 3 primary storage. Primary data stored on Bluejet is fully protected with Cirtas' CloudSnap technology and doesn't require separate backup processes, delivering substantial cost savings and management efficiency for storage administrators.

"We are honored to be a finalist in the Storage Magazine and Enterprise Data Storage Product of the Year Awards. This recognition further validates our Bluejet Cloud Storage Controller as a viable and effective enterprise-class solution for data storage and backup applications," said Josh Goldstein, VP of marketing and product management for Cirtas Systems. "Backup has been a popular first use case for enterprise organizations looking to implement a cloud storage initiative -- but it isn't the end-game. Bluejet offers two key capabilities with respect to backup: move the backups to the cloud for safekeeping or move the data itself to the cloud in a manner that eliminates the need for backup. Our customers see the potential and power of Bluejet and are now targeting primary data sets to be offloaded to the cloud."
