Cisco and NETGEAR Continue to Gain Share Atop the WLAN Market, Says In-Stat

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwire - March 22, 2011) -  In 4Q10, worldwide revenue for the Wi-Fi Network Equipment market increased by 9.1% quarter-over-quarter. 4Q10 shipments also increased by 8.1% quarter-over-quarter, and grew by nearly 10% year-over-year, says In-Stat (

"Although total WLAN shipments and revenues increased in the last year the real story is the movement in the market from a shares perspective," says Brad Shaffer, Analyst. "Cisco remains the number one WLAN vendor in terms of revenue; however, NETGEAR has surpassed Technicolor to move into the number two position. We also saw strong movement by TP-LINK and Aruba Networks stealing market share and making a climb in our rankings."
