Cistera Networks Partners With Cepstral LLC, Leading Text-to-Speech Company

Enables Seamless Incorporation of Text Into VoIP Communications

DALLAS, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 20, 2006 -- Cistera Networks (OTCBB: CNWT), the leading provider of advanced IP phone application platforms and engines in the Enterprise VoIP Telephony environment, today announced a partnership with Cepstral LLC of Pittsburgh, PA for the integration of Cepstral's Enterprise Text-to-Speech Engines on the Cistera ConvergenceServer™(CCS).

Cepstral's Text-to-Speech (TTS) solution was developed by a talented team that includes two of the world's leading authorities on speech synthesis, and delivers TTS conversions that enhance Cistera's Enterprise Application Platform for VoIP. The Cepstral TTS technology will enable the Cistera application engines to convert text to voice for contact center quality assurance, voice-enabled emergency notification and two-way radio presence as well as voice-enabled directory assistance. The combined solution takes full advantage of the capabilities VoIP has to offer for customers. An interactive demonstration of Cepstral's technology is available on the technology partners page at Cistera's website.

"We wanted to add TTS capabilities to the Cistera ConvergenceServer for some time, but no other provider could deliver the quality and value of Cepstral's solution," said Greg Royal, CTO of Cistera Networks. "With this partnership, we can now deliver our popular RapidBroadcast™, VirtualDirectory™ and Call CenterRecord™ applications enabled with the market's premier TTS capabilities."

"The integration of Cepstral TTS into the Cistera ConvergenceServer allows Cistera's customers to translate text into natural, flexible, dynamic voice content," said Kevin Lenzo, CEO of Cepstral. "Customers will see an immediate benefit from the integration of the Event Alerting and Notification, Recording and Presence systems with Text-to-Speech."

Cepstral Swift Text-to-Speech Version 4.1 is a scalable, multilingual cross-platform voice rendering engine. The server based voices are designed for large automated telephony or VoIP installations and can be set to operate across multiple channels simultaneously. Supported languages include U.S. and U.K. English, German, Canadian French, Americas Spanish, and Italian.

The Cistera ConvergenceServer, with its robust suite of application engines, offers customers IPT applications that are easy to integrate and install. The CCS adds critical competency and features such as text and audio broadcasting, messaging, recording and content streaming within Cisco and Nortel Converged Communications environments.
