Citation Partners With ANSI to Bring ISO 14000 Series Standards to Market on Robust citation(TM) Web-Based Platform

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwire - January 28, 2008) - Citation Technologies Inc. today announced a product and services agreement with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to deliver documents from the globally recognized ISO 14000 series of environmental management system (EMS) standards via the citation™ Web-based platform.

ANSI is coordinator of the U.S. standards and conformity assessment system and is the official U.S. representative to ISO, the International Organization for Standardization.

This partnership of standards and technology will empower a company or organization to quickly act upon and efficiently manage the evolving legal requirements that affect the environmental, safety and health aspects of a facility.

The users of EMS standards will benefit from the citation™ platform's powerful search tools and its collaboration, notification and change-management functionality. The platform also offers synergies with the libraries of highly-relevant national and international environmental, safety and health regulations contained within Citation's flagship CyberRegs™ portal service. This productivity-enhancing functionality is completely scalable and global in coverage.

"We are honored to have been chosen by ANSI as its Web portal platform for the delivery of these ISO 14000 standards," said John Vitale, vice president, corporate business development, Citation Technologies Inc. "Through this partnership, environmental managers gain access to international standards and comprehensive regulations on a best-in-class content presentation and workflow productivity platform."

Subscribers will utilize a broad array of research, collaboration and change management functionality via a turnkey Web portal platform. Users can concurrently search standards, test methods and specifications, as well as related regulations, for keywords and phrases. They can also annotate, incorporate or connect the appropriate sections of standards, specifications and regulations to relevant company policy and procedure documents.

"Installing an environmental management information system and keeping it current can be a challenge for any organization," said Fran Schrotter, ANSI senior vice president and chief operating officer. "Companies require rich functionality, automatic notification of changes, and many other tools to make their implementation of an environmental management system easier."

Seamless Cross-referencing with CyberRegs Regulations Content

The delivery of standards on citation opens the door to synergies between other Citation-hosted standards-related portal services and its CyberRegs portal. The Stored Notification™ System in CyberRegs monitors domestic and international legal requirements for change, and pushes notifications out to designated personnel. Real-time access to updates in environmental, health and safety regulations, statutes, registers, forms and guidance documents, as well as other management information system applications, is vital to meeting the requirements specified in the ISO 14000 collection.

Future content services to be delivered to market via citation will consist of distinct compilations of standards, including content from ANSI-approved American National Standards, other ISO documents, and at times, regulations information that meets the content requirements of particular consumer groups.

"ANSI, ISO and standards developing bodies across a broad spectrum of industries are always looking for ways to make it easier for the users of standards to access, use and monitor the information they need," Schrotter added. "We look forward to collaborating closely with Citation and the users of this product to build a positive user experience."
