Rubber Boots Go From Bogs to the Ballroom With Citizens' Environment Watch

On Thursday May 1st, join environmentally conscious folks as they bid for one-of-a-kind rubber boots and parasols creatively decorated by local artists, all in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the work of Citizens' Environment Watch.

"Last year's inaugural Rubber Boot Ball brought more than 150 members of Toronto's environmental and arts communities together," said Tammy McQueen, Manager of Communications and Development for Citizens' Environment Watch. "This year's event is set to be even better."

The prize-filled evening will once again feature a silent auction of one-of-a-kind rubber boots and parasols, creatively decorated by more than 30 local artists that have donated their talent to the cause. The one-of-a-kind rubber boots and parasols are on display at the Bata Shoe Museum, 327 Bloor St. West, until the end of April.



WHAT: Citizens' Environment Watch hosts its second annual
Rubber Boot Ball, named in honour of the rubber boots citizens
use to monitor the local environment. The Rubber Boot Ball will
be an evening of music with DJs Deepak Mehmi and
Cameron Westland, live dance performances from
The Dance Movement,lots of prizes, raffles and a silent auction
of one-of-a-kind rubber boots and parasols creatively decorated
by local artists.
