Citrix Systems Revolutionizes Its Supply Chain Insight Using Birst's On-Demand Business Intelligence Solution
Citrix Leverages Birst to Increase On-Time Deliveries, Product Reliability, and Inventory Turns, Enhancing Customer Satisfaction and Improving Profitability
| Source: Birst
SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - January 19, 2010) - Birst, a leading provider of on-demand
solutions for business intelligence (BI) and analytics, today announced
that Citrix Systems has gained real-time visibility into its entire supply
chain using Birst. Citrix is leveraging this new insight to increase its
on-time delivery rate, product reliability, and inventory turns, resulting
in enhanced customer satisfaction and improved profitability.
"We tried every BI tool under the sun, but they didn't work out for a
variety of reasons," said Fred Tiso, Group Director of Hardware Operations,
Citrix Systems. "Then we found Birst and knew it had all the features we
needed and was easy to get up and running, with low implementation and
support costs."
Citrix implemented Birst's on-demand solution in less than 90 days with
limited involvement from IT, and plans to extend the solution to 2000 users
shortly. Using Birst, Citrix has digitized its entire supply chain, gaining
real-time insight into sales forecasts, bookings, shipments, tracking
numbers, backlog, product reliability, inventory, material forecast, and
more. Citrix has also provided external suppliers with access to Birst so
that they can easily view Citrix forecasts and plan accordingly.
Leveraging the heightened visibility provided by Birst, Citrix has
developed a self-serve model for all order fulfillment inquiries, greatly
reducing incoming, order-related calls. Additionally, Citrix now receives
Birst-generated email alerts delivering proactive notification of potential
customer satisfaction issues, including low inventory and an on-time
delivery rate of less than 100 percent. These changes have improved product
reliability, increased Citrix's on-time delivery rate to more than 99
percent, and generated a five-fold increase in inventory turns, further
enhancing customer satisfaction and improving profitability.
"More and more, large companies are discovering that on-demand BI can
overcome even the toughest challenges quickly, and at low cost," said Brad
Peters, CEO of Birst. "The deployment of Birst at Citrix is a perfect
example. It demonstrates that you don't need a huge, expensive, on-premise
implementation to have a big impact on the bottom line."
