City and County of San Francisco Select Envista to Provide Cloud-Based Right-of-Way Coordination for Public Works Projects and Events

Automated Solution Streamlines Workflows and Enhances Communications, Saving Time and Money While Reducing Environmental Impact and Minimizing Public Disruption

BEVERLY, MA--(Marketwire - Aug 30, 2012) - Envista Corporation, the world's leading provider of enterprise right-of-way (ROW) coordination solutions via the web, today announced that the City and County of San Francisco selected the Envista Enterprise ROW Coordination Platform to manage activities in the public right-of-way more proactively and cost-effectively. This contract award provides San Francisco with Envista's Utility Project Coordination, Street Events and Citizen's View modules to enhance communications and streamline coordination processes, as well as Notice of Intent through the Municipal Consent module to automate workflows during pre-project planning.

As a city and county committed to providing a beautiful, livable, safe and sustainable environment for its citizens, San Francisco is leveraging Envista Utility Project Coordination to gain real-time insights into construction and maintenance details, ensuring adherence to moratoriums, avoiding conflicts and minimizing disruption to the public. Envista's Municipal Consent module streamlines the flow of application submissions, document circulation, sign-offs and site inspections, supported by Notice of Intent, which automatically tracks workflows, tasks and reviews. With Envista Street Events, users within the City and County of San Francisco can coordinate all types of municipal special events, including parades, road races and festivals. Envista Street Events automatically maps event locations, as well as related impacts such as detours, parking restrictions, variable message signs and traffic officers. In addition, Envista Citizen's View helps the City and County of San Francisco improve transparency by publishing selected information on the web to share with the public, such as updates on construction and maintenance projects, parade routes, detours and road closures.

Marc Fagan, Envista's Executive Vice-President and Co-Founder, said, "The City and County of San Francisco's leaders have always proven to be forward-thinking and we are very pleased to help them improve communication and coordination for utility projects and events. By providing multiple stakeholders with simultaneous access to information from virtually anywhere at any time, Envista's cloud-based platform is a powerful way for project managers and event coordinators to save time and money while maximizing public safety and minimizing environmental impact."
