"City of Gold - An Eagle is Born" in the Spotlight With Renown Latin Filmmakers and Celebrities

Multiple Screenings in the Cine'mation Showcase at the 14th Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival, March 8-18th, 2007

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 5, 2007 -- Scenes from an epic story about survival, set in the heart of 16th century Mesoamerica, will come to the big screen on March 11, 14, and 17th at the UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas, Hazard Center (off the 163 freeway on Friars Road). It's a story for Latinos and all world cultures, as an unlikely hero helps bring about needed reform in a warring society. The buried past comes alive in an inspiring tale about a teen who embodies the 'eagle spirit' to take on the ruthless and the greedy who threaten his tribe's freedoms.

The "City of Gold - An Eagle is Born" Animatic can be seen in Art House Shorts and Family Shorts in the San Diego Latino Film Festival's new Cine'mation Showcase, built around the exploding industry of animation. The amazing artistry of Latino cartoonists and animators will be highlighted in an array of films and events. The Animatic will also be shown at special student screenings and in a "From Paper to Screen" workshop. Animation awards are sponsored by Nickelodeon.

From now until March 18th, original movie art of "City of Gold - An Eagle is Born" can be seen in "Arte Latino," a celebration of Latin Art now showing in the Museum of the Living Artist at the House of Charm in Balboa Park. "Arte Latino" recognizes the undeniable importance of art in film. "City of Gold - An Eagle is Born" will be featured alongside the amazing works of Mexico's celebrated cartoonist, EL CHANGO Ernesto Garcia Cabral, and other talented Latin illustrators.

"City of Gold - An Eagle is Born" continues to track success as an award-winning screenplay, a finalist in national and international film festivals and now in production for a 3D animated Film Short in association with Sandman Studios based in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Sandman is using a fresh innovative approach to create high quality animated films that tell a real story, while keeping costs down. Jeanne will team her extensive knowledge of Mesoamerican culture and history with Sandman's extensive expertise, skill, equipment and technology. Scored with composer Alan William's rich music they will offer a sneak peek at the feature film they plan to produce next -- using the Short to attract funding and distribution.
