City of Black Hawk Joins Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System

BLACK HAWK, CO--(Marketwired - February 10, 2015) - City of Black Hawk announced today that it has joined the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System, a BidNet e-procurement system that provides vendors with an easier and more economical way to access and compete for local government bids.

Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System connects 1851 departments from 133 local government agencies and provides a bid notification system that gives vendors instant access to Bids, RFP's, Quotes and Amendments online. The City of Black Hawk joined Rocky Mountain Purchasing Group in February 2015, providing its vendors with convenient access to bid information for its solicitation postings and all other participating agencies on the system.

The City of Black Hawk invites all local vendors to access its upcoming solicitations by joining Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System. Vendor benefits of registering on include:

  • 24-hour access to local government opportunities
  • Notification customized to the vendors' products or services provided
  • Reliable and timely delivery of notifications, addendums and documents
  • Advanced notification of Term-Contracts
  • E-Bid and E-Quote Submission

"Participating in the procurement network and sharing resources with other agencies is tremendous", said Cynthia Linker, Community Planning and Development Administrator. "Our organization will be able to lower costs and reach more local vendors."

The network was developed and is powered by BidNet, an Albany, N.Y. company that manages 15 government purchasing groups nationwide through its e-procurement solution.

Vendors who provide goods and services can register for the system to receive bid opportunities from the City of Black Hawk and the system's other local agencies. Vendors register online at

"The bid system is easy for our staff and vendors to use, while minimizing costs, improving process efficiency and transparency," Cynthia said. "We benefit from increased vendor competition and process automation and our vendors gain access to other local government agencies business opportunities."
