City of Mississauga Joins Forces to Clean Up on Earth Day

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 21, 2008) - The City of Mississauga has teamed up with the Region of Peel, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and two private corporations to conduct a litter clean-up on Earth Day, April 22.

"We are all very grateful that two Mississauga-based corporations have stepped up to the plate to launch our first joint litter clean up." said John Lohuis, Director, Recreation and Parks and Environmental Management, Community Services Department, City of Mississauga.



1) What: (150) Pepsi Co & Pepsi Bottling Group employees
participating in a litter clean-up.
When: April 22, 10:00 a.m. - Noon
Where:
- Hwy 403/Mavis
- Hwy 403/Hurontario
- Hwy 401/Hurontario
- Hwy 401/Dixie Rd
- Max Ward Park

2) What: (30) Xerox employees participating in a litter clean-up.
When: April 22, 11 - 1 p.m.
Where: QEW/ Winston Churchill interchange
