City of Montreal: Level crossing closed at Woodland and Highway 20

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 16, 2005) - The Borough of Beaconsfield-Baie d'Urfe advises residents that the railroad level crossing, connecting Elm Avenue on the north side with Woodland Avenue south of the highway, is closed to traffic. Since Monday afternoon access has been blocked, due to malfunction of the traffic lights in coordination with the train signals. To ensure the safety of drivers, access across the railway tracks will be closed until the traffic lights are once again fully synchronized. Traffic along Woodland and Highway 20 south of the intersection is not affected.

If you are traveling in the area, please be careful and ensure that you respect the temporary traffic signals in place.
