City of New York Joins Empire State Purchasing Group

NYC Is Now Using BidNet's New York Bid System

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - February 03, 2015) - New York City has officially announced its joining of the Empire State Purchasing Group (, BidNet's statewide purchasing system that delivers convenient, centralized online access to bid opportunities throughout the state of New York.

The City of New York becomes the 177th local government entity to join the Empire State Purchasing Group. The New York bid system connects local government agencies from throughout the state to collaborate and connect with vendors and like-minded public buying organizations. New York City (NYC) joins other New York government agencies already utilizing the bid system such as Westchester County, County of Rockland, and City of Yonkers among many other counties, towns, municipalities, school districts and special districts.

NYC joined the bid system on February 2, 2015 offering vendors instant, online access to the City's solicitation, addendum and award information. The City invites all vendors wanting to do business with NYC to join the bid system. While NYC will continue to post all bids on its own City Record Online system, vendors who register with the Empire State Purchasing Group will receive benefits like bid opportunities and business opportunities from the other participating local government agencies on Empire State Purchasing Group located throughout the state of New York.
