The City of Penticton Selects Agresso to Support the City's Future Requirements and Growth

Ongoing Flexibility of Agresso Chosen as a Deciding Factor by BC Local Government

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA and MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE--(Marketwire - Oct. 31, 2012) - UNIT4 Business Software, the North American subsidiary of UNIT4 (EURONEXT AMSTERDAM:UNIT4), the global enterprise software provider for Businesses Living IN Change (BLINC)™, has signed an agreement of $650K+ to provide the City of Penticton with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution that will streamline its financial operations and maintain expected levels of visibility and collaboration between departments. Agresso Business World is designed to manage the financial and operational impact of change. A key consideration in Agresso's selection was its financial management capabilities that allow for better and timelier reporting across the entire organization. The City replaced its former system with Agresso Business World's Financials, Procurement, PCB, HR/Payroll, Planner, Field Force and Reporting modules.

The City of Penticton is fiscally sustainable. It meets service and financial commitments, withstands economic downturns and implements new projects with intergenerational equity and fairness by ensuring that undue costs are not shifted to future generations. "Moving to a financial system like Agresso will eradicate inefficiencies and help us see one single version of the truth while managing budgets, which translates into faster and better decision making and improved service to the public," states Colin Fisher, City of Penticton controller. "Because Agresso's architecture was designed from the ground up to be flexible, it offers the post-implementation agility necessary to support the City's future requirements and growth," he adds.

UNIT4 Business Software has a strong track record with British Columbia local government customers such as City of Surrey, City of Kelowna, City of Port Moody, City of Langley and the Township of Langley. "Public sector organizations are constantly striving to offer better services to the public while remaining financially healthy," says Shelley Zapp, president of UNIT4 Business Software. "Managing the unpredictable (economic downturns, budgets shrinking) is becoming critical to these organizations, and Agresso helps them respond to changes easily and cost-effectively with its enhanced reporting capabilities," she adds.
