City of Tavares, Fla. and ARCADIS/Malcolm Pirnie Select Envista to Streamline Coordination of Infrastructure Projects and Public Events

Improves Efficiency of Planning and Execution to Minimize Business Disruption, Maximize Public Access and Safety

BEVERLY, MA--(Marketwire - Jan 24, 2012) - Envista Corporation, the world's leading provider of enterprise right-of-way (ROW) coordination solutions via the web, today announced that the City of Tavares, Fla. and ARCADIS/Malcolm Pirnie, a leading international provider of consultancy, design, engineering and management services in the fields of infrastructure, water, environment and buildings, chose the Envista Enterprise ROW Coordination Platform to maximize efficiency and enhance public communications for major water, sewer and water reclamation infrastructure projects across the City.

Working in partnership to leverage funding from the U.S.D.A., Tavares and ARCADIS/Malcolm Pirnie will initially utilize the Project Coordination, Permit Workflow Management, Street Events and Citizen's View modules of Envista's Enterprise ROW Coordination Platform. These integrated, cloud-based tools will enable City planners, ARCADIS/Malcolm Pirnie project managers and local utilities to coordinate street work and manage traffic routes in real time, minimizing inconvenience for businesses, ensuring public safety and access, as well as reducing costs and environmental impact. In addition, the city of Tavares will use the Envista platform for coordinating street events such as parades, road races and festivals, streamlining both the planning process and event-day management of detours, parking restrictions, variable message signs, traffic officers, emergency and sanitation services, etc.

Brad Hayes, Tavares Utility Director, said, "Tavares has a very active downtown with restaurants and businesses that generate a significant amount of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The Envista Coordination online tools will enable the City to minimize disruption to local businesses as we upgrade our water and wastewater lines. In addition, Envista will allow continuous communication with the public and real-time updates regarding construction schedules as the work progresses. This is going to be a real plus for our business community."

Scott Shannon, Associate Vice President, ARCADIS/Malcolm Pirnie, added, "We expect Envista to be very beneficial to the City and to enhance our project work significantly. It should help save the City money by improving efficiency during the construction process, while also enabling residents and visitors to enjoy what the City of Tavares has to offer with minimal disruption as we make important infrastructure upgrades."

Brad Steer, Envista's Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, also commented, "We look forward to building a strong and lasting relationship with ARCADIS/Malcolm Pirnie to help cities like Tavares maximize savings in time and money across the many types of ROW activities. Especially in times of tight budgets, it takes foresight to invest in solutions like Envista, which will yield both immediate and long-term value for the City, as well as all ROW stakeholders. By working in partnership with ARCADIS/Malcolm Pirnie, Envista will enable Tavares to maximize its revenue opportunities while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of the public."
