Clean Energy Expert Joins USA Synthetic Fuel Corporation as Chief Executive Officer


CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwire - March 8, 2010) -  USA Synthetic Fuel Corporation (PINKSHEETS: USFC), a "green company" developing advanced, clean energy production facilities across America, today announced the appointment of Glenn G. Wattley as chief executive officer. Wattley brings to USA Synthetic Fuel more than 35 years of executive experience in the energy and environmental industry and is a recognized international authority on clean energy technologies.

Since 2009, Wattley, 57, was managing partner of Sierra Vista Group, an international consulting firm where he led the energy and environmental business. Prior to that he was CEO of West Bay Energy, a strategic consulting and private placement firm he founded in 1999. Previous executive and technical experience includes CONSOL Energy, Mine Safety Appliances, Arthur D. Little, and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

Wattley's prior executive and consulting assignments, both domestic and international, include development of Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) technologies and power plant investments; commercializing solutions based on electromagnetic physics for the energy and environmental industries; energy related M&A assignments aggregating $25 billion in transactions; and helping introduce "green" energy technologies into China through relationships he established with Chinese academic and business institutions. He is a frequent speaker at clean energy and environmental conferences; has been published and extensively quoted in publications such as The New York Times, The Economist, Businessweek and Fortune; and has appeared as an expert interviewed on major network and cable programs.

Wattley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Science and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
