Cleanfield Energy Engages Government Relations Consultancy

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 16, 2006) - Tony Verrelli, President of Cleanfield Alternative Energy Inc., (TSX VENTURE:AIR), announced today that Cleanfield has engaged the services of the Ridge Strategy Group Inc. to help increase awareness of Cleanfield and to initiate government relations efforts.

Renewable energy technology developers in Canada, such as Cleanfield, benefit from government funding and procurement for a portion of their research support and the advancement of product acceptance. The team at Ridge Strategy Group has a history of positive government relations initiatives at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. Ridge Strategy Group will also help Cleanfield develop a specific marketing approach with government officials.

Seeking to build on its current program of dealership expansion and existing government support, Cleanfield is looking to enhance its relationships with partners throughout North America.

Headed by the Hon. Tony Valeri, Ridge Strategy Group is well-positioned to assist in the development and execution of a strategy that will raise awareness and position Cleanfield as a solution for governments who are committed to promoting renewable energy.
