ClearSlide Earns TRUSTe U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Status

ClearSlide Adheres to All U.S. Department of Commerce Guidelines for Security and Compliance and Receives TRUSTe Certified Privacy Seal

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 4, 2013) - ClearSlide, Inc., the leading sales engagement and communication platform, today announced that ClearSlide's global privacy policy adheres to the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework regarding the collection, use and retention of personal data from the European Union member countries and Switzerland.

The "Safe Harbor" status has been developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission to denote a specific framework of data protection principles. Designed to provide U.S. organizations with a means to satisfy European Union legal requirements to protect the safety of personal information that is transferred from the EU to the United States, Safe Harbor status is granted to companies who comply with this framework. Accordingly, ClearSlide partnered with TRUSTe to completed the self-certification process to prove its commitment to data security and enact internal privacy policies for managing sensitive customer information. ClearSlide attained the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor status through its participation in the TRUSTe privacy program for TRUSTed Cloud Data, which provides professional services for privacy certification and third party dispute resolution. ClearSlide has met TRUSTe's standards to self-certify with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework, the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework, and adheres to the privacy principles set forth by Safe Harbor.

In addition to today's announcement of Safe Harbor certification, ClearSlide recently announced its completion of the Conformity of Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2) compliance. Working to attain Safe Harbor Status further proves ClearSlide's commitment to security and protecting the sensitive information of its clients.
