Cleveland to Host International Celebration of Digital Media in the Library

CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwire - December 4, 2007) - OverDrive (www.overdrive.com), the leading provider of download audio books, eBooks, music, and video for libraries, announced today that registration is now open for Digipalooza '08, its international user group conference. The conference will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, July 24 - July 27, 2008, and is open to librarians from more than 7,500 libraries in the OverDrive network. Attendees are invited to learn, share, and experience innovative services for digital media with other OverDrive libraries and the OverDrive team. Digipalooza '08 will include presentations on new digital media content and products from leading eBook publishers and audio, music, and video producers such as HarperCollins, Random House, Blackstone Audio, Image Entertainment, BBC Audiobooks America, Brilliance Audio, Hachette Book Group, and more. In addition, librarians will participate in conference and networking sessions focused on best practices and digital collection development.

Digipalooza '08 sponsorships are still available. Digipalooza '06 welcomed sponsors from Harlequin, McGraw-Hill, Creative Labs, Dorling Kindersley, Library Journal, and others to Cleveland to engage in publisher panels and exhibits. Presentations and educational sessions were led by key personnel from many top circulating libraries including Boston Public Library, Cleveland Public Library, Denver Public Library and King County Library System.

The conference fee for Digipalooza '08 is $149, and includes all educational sessions, meals, and special events. Hotel stay and travel are not included.
