Better Living Products (BLP) is pleased to announce another exciting chapter to its Innovation Mission as it steps up its design and development capabilities. According to Mike Albo, President and Founder of Better Living Products, "DESIGN has become the most important element in product development and in business as more than ever consumers appreciate design and give it much more value. As a leader of unique bath and shower products, we continue to invest in design talent to help elevate our innovations, product development process and branding with our strategic retail partners. Our mission is to continuously create a mutual win/win situation by introducing innovative products with great margins for all, while giving consumers the value they expect."

To that end, he is bolstering BLP's design + product development department and has teamed up with designer Adam Berkowitz to become Better Living's Director of Design and Development. Berkowitz - an experienced housewares designer, developer and entrepreneur - has been given the mandate to infuse the 22 year old company with a new culture of creativity that will impact all aspects of the business from consumer research to product launches to the design of the office expansion and the addition of a state‐of‐the‐art design and development centre.

Albo is excited that under the leadership of Berkowitz, the holistic creative endeavour will even include the design of a new way of doing business - a new way of designing, developing + managing projects. The goal of this important initiative is to establish Better Living as a design‐centric brand, expand their product and category offering and speed the product development cycle, all‐the‐while improving quality and deepening the emotional engagement that Better Living customers' have with its products.

Says Berkowitz, "I feel privileged to again work with Mike Albo and am flattered that he has entrusted me with leading the re‐positioning of his already well‐respected brand. I have great respect for Mike as a business and family man with great instincts and a creative eye; he knows what he likes and what his customers will like. He also knows what he needs in order to bring the company to the next level. Mike is a true visionary and to his credit, he has identified "design leadership" as a key ingredient for growth over the next decade. While the company continues to sell their already popular products around the world, we will strategically design and develop the Better Living brand and product offering for both short and long term growth."

Better Living Product's succession of award‐winning innovations have made the company the success it is today and it all started with pioneering The Dispenser, for body wash, shampoos and soap. The Dispenser is the world-leading category brand that continues to be appreciated by consumers that want to be pampered with shower and bath conveniences.

Key to these innovations is the simplicity of use and installations that are designed to be quick and easy - many without the use of tools.

Berkowitz will join the Better Living team in Chicago for the International Home + Housewares show and will continue on a full‐time basis thereafter from BLP's World Headquarters in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada, just North of Toronto.
