ClimbTech Builds Momentum, Expands Into New Markets

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Jun 6, 2012) - Like the innovative safety products it makes for the industrial, commercial construction, military, and mining industries, ClimbTech ( is embracing a smart approach when it comes to its corporate growth strategy -- expand into new markets.

Never mind the challenging economic climate.

ClimbTech's executive team recognizes that they have a line of products in the fall protection market that are universally well-received. This is borne out by the company's financial performance. After a record 2011, which saw a year-to-year sales growth of 37 percent, ClimbTech has started 2012 with a bang, recording quarterly sales growth of 64 percent over the same quarter a year ago.

"As the leader in the design and manufacture of fall protection anchor systems, we've been fortunate to create OEM partnerships with some of the largest fall protection companies in the world, such as 3M, Honeywell, DBI Sala, MSA, and Guardian to name a few," said ClimbTech CEO Roberto Fiebig. "What we have built over time is paying off this year as we market and sell products to a completely different market and application: rope and height access."

The Austin American-Statesman recently reported ClimbTech's success here:

ClimbTech's customers are believers, too.

"ClimbTech's removable anchors are revolutionizing the concrete repair industry," said Gordon Bisset, Technical Director of WEB Rigging Services ( "That's because of the high loads that you can suspend from the anchors combined with their removability and reusability.

"In one particular project in the UK, where we needed to suspend WEB hanging deck system in order to repair the concrete, we used over 500 of ClimbTech's Mega Swivel 10K bolts and were able to safely remove and reuse all of them. This is a huge advantage over a standard sleeve anchor, for example Hilti's, where the sleeve would remain stuck in the concrete after removing the bolt, potentially causing corrosion and other damage. Climbtech's Mega Swivel 10K anchors reduce installation and removal costs significantly as well as being environmentally sustainable," added Bisset.

Fiebig believes ClimbTech, fueled by the economic recovery, "is positioned for tremendous growth."

"ClimbTech is ideally positioned to help these industries build out new structures with safety as a priority," said Fiebig. "Given the surging demand from our customers and partners who use our technology to develop their own customized products, ClimbTech is positioned for tremendous growth."

About ClimbTech
Twenty-five years ago, two avid rock climbers with engineering minds and visionary dreams saw the need for advancement in climbing equipment technology. They imagined, researched, and tested and soon came up with product after product, all taking mountaineering to a new level of sophistication, safety, and ease.

In 1998, these climbers realized that their spring-loaded camming devices had a reach well beyond the mountains. Much larger fields with extensive safety concerns, such as the construction, industrial, military and mining industries, were plagued by outdated, heavy and cumbersome equipment. Thus, ClimbTech was born.
