CLINICARE Speeds Software Development, Lowers Costs With IBM

CALGARY, ALBERTA and MARKHAM, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 6, 2006) - Medical software company CLINICARE Corporation can now roll out new products faster using IBM software development tools.

Healthcare clinics and doctors across North America use CLINICARE's software to access patients' medical information and to process prescriptions electronically.

Software developers at CLINICARE are using Rational Functional Tester to automate software testing, allowing the company to release updated versions of its software products more quickly than before.

"By automating the testing process we've been able to identify bugs a lot more easily, and new software releases are more stable," said Don Martin, vice president of development, CLINICARE Corporation. "We expect to greatly reduce our software development costs next year."

Rational Functional Tester also allows novice developers to perform advanced software testing activities, and speeds the progression of software from the development to production stage.
