Clinton Electronics' Public View Monitor (PVM) Product Line Powered by Pixim's Digital Pixel System Technology

Major Retailers Nationwide Are Deploying the Pixim-Powered Clinton PVMs to Alert Shoppers to Security Systems and Help Deter Theft

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - May 19, 2008) - Pixim® Inc., a leading provider of image sensors and processors for enterprise security cameras, announced that its award-winning Digital Pixel System® technology has been incorporated into Clinton Electronics' line of Public View Monitors (PVMs). The Clinton PVMs already have been installed in major retail outlets in the U.S., including national pharmacy and department store chains.

In addition to its line of PVMs -- available in 20-inch, 26-inch and 32-inch versions -- Clinton Electronics also offers Pixim-powered box- and dome-style security cameras. All the Pixim-based Clinton video security products feature application presets, which allow customers to pre-program and standardize camera settings across all their locations.

"For PVMs to be effective, it's crucial that image quality be excellent and that it remain consistent even in highly variable lighting conditions," said Dan Clinton, head of marketing for Clinton Electronics. "The Pixim Digital Pixel System technology is the best solution for ensuring PVM and other security camera images are clear and color-accurate and unaffected by direct sunlight, strong backlight or reflections."

Pixim's Digital Pixel System technology is the only video image capture technology to employ hundreds of thousands of pixels, each acting like an individual camera. These self-adjusting pixels deliver the highest total resolution, natural color and clarity -- in all lighting conditions, while accurately capturing highlights and lowlights in the same scene.

"Clinton is deploying Pixim-powered PVMs and security cameras strategically and broadly in major retailers throughout the U.S.," said John Monti, vice president of marketing and business development, Pixim. "Clinton has already achieved great success with many large retailers that are household names -- and I suspect the success of their Pixim-powered line of products will continue gaining momentum as other retailers learn of the advantages these products deliver."

The Clinton products incorporating Pixim technology include the CE-20PVM-WD, CE-26PVM-WD and CE-32PVM-WD Public View Monitors; the CE-CC118WD Color Wide Dynamic Box Camera; and the CE-VFCD918-WD Color Wide Dynamic Slim Dome Camera.

About Pixim

Pixim Inc. has developed an imaging technology that revolutionizes the way video cameras capture and process images. Unlike traditional cameras, where each pixel cannot adjust to highlights and lowlights in the same scene, Pixim's patented Digital Pixel System® technology empowers hundreds of thousands of pixels to act like individual cameras constantly self-adjusting. This all-digital system enables Pixim-powered cameras to efficiently capture the whole picture, regardless of lighting condition or application -- thus securing the highest resolution, natural color and clarity, while automatically eliminating image-compromising visual noise (e.g., glare, reflections). The result is more than superb image quality; it is accurate, actionable information that gives users the strength of certainty.

Pixim chipsets are incorporated into more than 200 security camera models that ship to more than 70 countries worldwide. Visit www.pixim.com/cameras for a complete listing of Pixim-based cameras.
