Closed Area for Shellfish Harvesting Mid North Shore


QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Sept. 1, 2016) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec, wants to inform the Mid North Shore population that the harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to toxicity, in accordance with the prohibition orders mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish area:

Baie des Forges (N-15.1.1)
The waters of the portion of Rivière Moisie's estuary lying to the east of a line extending due north from Pointe de l'Est to the shore.

Rivière Pigou (N-16.1.1)
From a point west of Rivière Pigou to a point west of Rivière du Sault Plat.
