QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - June 1, 2016) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec region, wants to inform the Upper North Shore population that the harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to pollution and toxicity, in accordance with the prohibition order mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish area:

From Snail rock to the rochers du Saguenay

From a point located west of Baie des Îlets Jérémie to Pointe à Michel's nagivation light.

From the Centre d'interprétation du Parc Nature to the east at the Fisheries and Oceans Canada marker.
