Closed Areas for Shellfish Harvesting Lower St. Lawrence


QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 10, 2012) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada wants to inform the St. Lawrence population that the harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to pollution, in accordance with the prohibition order mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish areas:

Rimouski-Neigette: Rimouski-Est (B-04.2)

From the extremity of Rimouski-Est's wharf seaward to coordinate 48.480964 N 68.51779 W and from there to the extremity of the Pointe au Père's wharf.

Sainte-Flavie, est (B-06.1)

From the extremity of Sainte-Flavie's wharf to Pointe aux Cenelles.
