QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - June 28, 2013) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, wants to inform the Magdalen Islands population that the harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to toxicity, in accordance with the prohibition orders mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish areas:

Center of Lagune du Havre aux Maisons. (A-14.3)
Center of Lagune du Havre aux Maisons.

Magdalen Islands :

About 500 meters west from the Detroit's bridge to the mouth of Le Barachois.

Havre aux Maisons Lagoon, south (A-14.2)
From mont Alice to the Detroit's bridge.
