Closed Areas for Shellfish Harvesting Upper North Shore


QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - June 18, 2013) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, wants to inform the Upper North Shore population that the harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to toxicity, in accordance with the prohibition orders mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish areas:

Upper North-Shore:
Pointe à Boisvert (N-03.2.1)
From a point near of the sawmill to Pointe à Boisvert's navigation light.
Prohibition Order: 2013Q-T-073
Upper North-Shore:
Cran à Gagnon (N-04.2.2)
From cran à Gagnon to the southwestern point of Rivière Blanche's mouth.
Prohibition Order: 2013Q-T-074
Manicouagan:
Pointe-aux-Outardes (east) (N-06.1.2)
From the Fisheries and Oceans marker at west to La Grosse Pointe
