DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Jul 25, 2016) - Cloud Elements, Denver's leading API management and integration platform, announced a strategic partnership with Sage, the world leader in cloud accounting software, as a part of the Sage Partner Program at Sage Summit in Chicago, Illinois. The partnership will be game-changing for independent software vendors (ISVs) and third party integrators who previously had to custom code integrations between Sage Live, SageOne and X3 products. Both Sage and Cloud Elements are announcing two products during Sage Summit: Sage Integration Cloud and Cloud Elements for Sage.
The partnership between Cloud Elements and Sage is timely in terms of market trends. According to Gartner Analysts Keith Guttridge and Eric Thoo, "The criticality of converging application and data integration intensifies as digital businesses rise, driving the need to leverage data and application flows that match the speed of business moments." Elizabeth Golluscio, Research Director and Massimo Pezzini, VP & Fellow at Gartner notes that, "By 2020, 75% of businesses will become or prepare to become a digital business." Directors of integration and product leaders must establish a viable plan to extend their product via APIs, just as Sage and Cloud Elements are doing with their newly formed partnership.
The partnership will include the launch of two products to advance the Sage open cloud ecosystem and marketplace for their 3 million customers: the Sage Integration Cloud and Cloud Elements for Sage. The overarching objective of this partnership is to leverage the power of Cloud Elements open API Hubs, enabling third-party developers to create a powerful cloud accounting platform. Customers will gain access to easy product migration paths, new products and add-ons as their business needs change.
- Sage Integration Cloud will provide an out-of-the-box integration experience for 'Sage to Sage' integrations, as well as integrations to a number of relevant partner solutions.
- Cloud Elements for Sage will provide an advanced solution that will allow the customization and development of new third-party product add-ons. The open, API-driven platform will target ISVs or other authorized Sage partners who want to integrate their product with Sage and other market participants, along with business partners and system integrators who provide custom solutions for individual customers.
Cloud Elements is providing a Sage Accounting Hub and Sage Payroll Hub to Sage customers with no additional cost. The Sage Accounting Hub will initially offer integrations to Sage One, Sage Live, Sage X3, with plans to extend integrations to the Sage 50, Sage 100, Sage 200, Sage 300 and My Sage products.
Alan Laing, Executive Vice President Global Strategic Partnerships & Alliances at Sage shares his support for the new partnership: "We are pleased to welcome and on-board Cloud Elements to the Sage Partner Program and know the benefits they will add to our ecosystem will be enormous. Providing uniform APIs will encourage our ISVs to develop market leading solutions that will integrate to create a seamless customer experience."
Mark Geene, CEO and Co-Founder of Cloud Elements shares how his vision for Cloud Elements aggregation APIs complements Sage's strategy, "In conversations with Sage, it became clear that our vision of aggregated API Hubs is the perfect fit to support Sage's strategy to provide a normalized API experience to developers. Cloud Elements is excited to join the Sage Partner Program and provide an integration portal to Sage's ISV base."
