As co-founder and COO of Meraki Networks, Robertson ran products and sales, leading the company to $120 million in annual revenues before its acquisition by Cisco in 2013. At Meraki he was instrumental in bringing cloud-managed, enterprise networking products to market. Robertson also has considerable expertise in cloud-controlled Wi-Fi, routing and security, as well as wireless systems. Robertson is also a VMware veteran and was product manager for EMC's Invista storage virtualization system.

"CloudGenix has a new and truly unique, application-defined approach that I believe is revolutionizing WAN infrastructure," says Hans Robertson, co-founder of Meraki Networks. "I was attracted to CloudGenix because they are replacing several decades of routing protocol complexity with a path-breaking approach to building networks using application policy definitions for security, performance and compliance. This radically simplifies building a hybrid WAN, enables superior application and SaaS performance and delivers granular branch network security. I'm excited to join the company's advisory board."

CloudGenix's SD-WAN improves application performance, simplifies operations, and dramatically lowers cost compared with legacy router-based networks. These are just a few of the reasons industry leaders like Robertson are supporting CloudGenix. In addition, SD-WAN is among a few technologies at the peak of Gartner's 2015 Hype Cycle for Networking and Communications.i According to the report, "SD-WAN solutions offer a significantly different way to deploy branch office WANs. Compared to current solutions, SD-WANs are more cost-effective to deploy, as well as less complicated and time consuming to manage."

"CloudGenix is thrilled to welcome Hans Robertson to our advisory board," says Kumar Ramachandran, CEO and co-founder of CloudGenix. "His vision, guidance and experience are helping us advance our goal of delivering networks without networking. Organizations are migrating from hardware-centric to software- and cloud-based business models. A big part of that migration involves evolving from legacy, router based models, to an application-defined architecture that aligns with business priorities. Robertson's addition to our advisory board represents an invaluable asset to help us deliver on that promise."
