Industry Veteran Admiral Robert C. "Willie" Williamson Brings Deep Expertise in Market Strategy, Competitive Assessments and Strategic Analysis

Industry veteran Admiral Robert C. "Willie" Williamson brings to Datapipe a broad range of experience in developing market strategy, competitive assessments, and strategic analysis for its cloud computing, virtualization, compliance, business continuity, disaster recovery and other offerings.

A former commanding officer of the USS Nimitz, Admiral Williamson has held leadership positions at Raytheon Company, Microsoft Corporation and The Severn Group, LLC. As Microsoft's first flag officer employee, he was responsible for sales, business development, and the capture/proposal process for the $1.6 billion Public Sector business. At Microsoft, he created and was accountable for the company's first-ever global government strategy and developed an Executive Partner Engagement methodology to build strong and beneficial relationships with the community of System Integrators that serve Federal and State & Local clients.

While at Raytheon, Admiral Williamson was responsible for its Navy C3I and ForceNet strategies, as well as leading its global communications unit, headquartered in London, UK. In these capacities, over $900 million in sales were attributed to programs awarded to Raytheon. The Admiral also served as an instrumental member of Senator Obama's National Security Campaign team. In this role, he exercised leadership within the team to highlight the need for greater transparency regarding cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and accelerated the introduction of technologies required to resolve and mitigate cyber issues.
