Cloudfind Attracts GBP0.6m Investment for "Digital Jetstream" Vision

Extra funding from Thorium Technology Investors follows new customer wins for automated file tagging startup

BATH, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Aug. 27, 2014) - UK tech startup Cloudfind today announced a further £600,000 of funding for its plans to take enterprise information management into the "Digital Jetstream".

The new round of angel investor funding comes after a successful product launch earlier this year, and the acquisition of new customers in both the US and UK.

Cloudfind transforms how businesses find, share and organize information in the cloud, by automatically "tagging" files according to what they relate to, such as particular projects, customers or document types. The resulting tags allow users to pinpoint relevant files in seconds with just a few clicks, instead of spending hours each month browsing shared folders, workspaces or reviewing pages of search results.

For the growing number of enterprises switching to cloud storage and applications, Cloudfind offers an immediate and effective solution to the problem of "information overload". By integrating with leading third-party cloud storage and collaboration platforms, Cloudfind instantly gives users a simpler, more intuitive way to work without having to move, copy or synchronize existing files.

Recent new customers for Cloudfind include Quantemplate, a specialist provider of reporting and analysis software for the insurance industry, who use Cloudfind integrated with Google Drive and "Quick access to just the relevant information is key to business efficiency," commented Richard Bowdler, Head of Client Relations at Quantemplate. "Cloudfind removes the need for additional resources or complex IT systems to manage our information. Having a system that automatically and accurately classifies your documents is a huge time-saver."

Co-founder and CEO, Sebastian Toke-Nichols, commented: "Our vision of the Digital Jetstream is all about helping businesses go beyond the cloud, to where information flows effortlessly, accurately and efficiently. This latest funding will help us realize that vision, and help thousands of businesses worldwide unlock the full benefit of moving to the cloud."

The latest Cloudfind release is available immediately, via the Salesforce AppExchange.
