CloudLock Closes Q3 2015 With 16th Consecutive Quarter of Revenue Growth and Expands Leadership Team

Cloud Security Pioneer Ranked in Top 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies and Launched the Industry's First Cybersecurity-as-a-Service Offering

WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwired - Oct 28, 2015) - CloudLock, the leading cloud cybersecurity and CASB provider, today announced its 16th consecutive quarter of record revenue growth. CloudLock's three-year sales growth of 3,557 percent achievement landed the company at No. 93 on Inc. magazine's 34th annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. CloudLock was also ranked as the fastest-growing security product company in the U.S.

"The explosive growth we've seen, as well as recognition such as being named among the top 100 fastest growing privately-held companies, can be directly attributed to the success of our customers," said Gil Zimmermann, CEO and co-founder of CloudLock. "The market is acknowledging the unique benefits of our CASB and Cybersecurity-as-a-Service Platform and we can't wait to share what we are working on next."

Team Growth
The company expanded its global presence, bringing on an additional 23 new employees across their headquarters in Waltham, Mass., San Francisco, Israel, and London locations, ending the quarter with nearly 150 employees.

CloudLock also expanded its executive leadership team with a newly formed vice president of customer success position, adding seasoned customer success executive Vicki Appel. Appel brings more than 20 years of experience creating and implementing valuable customer growth and retention strategies and will be responsible for ensuring CloudLock customer satisfaction and the achievement of optimal results whenever using CloudLock's solutions.

Prior to CloudLock, Appel was senior vice president of customer success at Jobscience, a leader in Social CRM (Candidate Relationship Management) delivering the first end-to-end recruitment system built natively on Salesforce.com. Before Jobscience, Appel was a director at Salesforce.com in the Strategic Services group, responsible for driving revenue growth by prescriptively matching and positioning the right services for customers and by directing successful services engagements. Appel also developed a level of subject matter expertise from combined experiences at PwC, ATG/Oracle and Razorfish.

"CloudLock is in a really unique position, being a leader in a fast-growing market that shows no signs of slowing," said Appel. "With more than 10 million users under management, CloudLock has already built a scalable cloud security platform and I look forward to continuing this growth and expanding the company's customer success program across new and exciting markets."

Industry Innovation
In August 2015, the company launched the industry's first Cybersecurity-as-a-Service offering for any cloud environment, including off-the-shelf SaaS, IaaS (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM Softlayer), PaaS (e.g. Force.com), IDaaS (e.g. Okta, OneLogin, Centrify), as well as custom and homegrown cloud apps. Recognizing that most cloud interactions circumvent traditional networks and happen cloud-to-cloud and machine-to-cloud, CloudLock's cloud-native solution delivers cloud cybersecurity in a completely new way -- as a service.

CloudLock pioneered the API-first approach in the Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) market and its unified Cloud Security Fabric connects and secures any app natively from the cloud in the cloud through a series of CloudLock Cybersecurity APIs, including independent software vendors (ISVs).

Industry Recognition and Thought Leadership

CloudLock launched its CyberLab, its new security intelligence arm, in Q3 2015 and with it, released the cloud cybersecurity report The 1% Who Can Take Down Your Organization. The data was based on analysis of 10 million users, one billion files, and more than 91,000 applications, and focuses on the riskiest element in the cloud: user behavior. Notably, the report found that cybersecurity risk is highly concentrated, with one percent of users responsible for 75 percent of risk.

CloudLock also received a number of awards in Q3, including:

  • CloudLock was named No. 1 on Forbes Best Enterprise Cloud Computing Startups To Work For In 2015
  • CloudLock Security Fabric was named winner of the 2015 Cloud Computing Excellence Award, honoring their innovation in cloud cybersecurity
  • CloudLock ranks among the world's Top 100 Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), according to Penton Media's fourth-annual Talkin' Cloud 100 report
  • MassTLC Awards finalist in three categories: Private Company of the Year, Emerging Executive of the Year - CloudLock Director of Product Management, Jennifer McClain, and Innovative Technology of the Year -- Cloud
