Club Auto-Neige Rive-Sud Inc. to Improve Quality of its Snowmobile Trails

Government of Canada supports winter tourism in the Levis region


LÉVIS, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 16, 2015) - While on visit to Lévis, Jacques Gourde, Member of Parliament for Lotbinière-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière and Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, for Official Languages and for the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, that Club Auto-Neige Rive-Sud Inc. has been granted funding to acquire a new snow grooming machine.

This assistance is being awarded in the form of a $140,000 non-repayable financial contribution through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program.

  • The higher-performance equipment will enable the snowmobile club to improve the quality of its trails, an important factor in attracting and retaining tourists.
  • Club Auto-Neige Rive-Sud Inc. is responsible for the upkeep of 141 km of interconnected snowmobile trails linking eight districts, including four boroughs of the City of Lévis and four other sectors in the Nouvelle-Beauce, Bellechasse and Lotbinière RCMs.
  • The network of trails maintained by the 1,200-member club is travelled by numerous Canadian, American and European tourists.
