The Club at White Oaks Hosts the Prestigious Canadian Squash Championship From April 30-May 3, 2008

White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa event draws championship squash players Shahier Razik, Jonathon Power, Alana Miller, Runa Reta, and more

NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 22, 2008) - The Club at White Oaks, in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, is pleased to be the site of the renowned Canadian Squash Championship '08 from April 30-May 3, 2008. The Squash Championship will bring some of the most well-known championship squash players in Canada to Niagara for the Men's and Women's Opens as well as players from around the world for the age group competitions.

White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa serves as the only location in Canada able to host a Squash Championship entirely under one roof-with the Niagara resorts five-star accommodations, spa, restaurant, and a recently renovated Fitness & Racquet Club, where the National Squash Championships will occur. White Oaks squash club features a total of eight courts, accommodating 240 players for the Canadian National Squash Championship.

In the Men's Open of the Canadian Squash Championship, Jonathon Power, a former world champion and among the top 20 squash players in the world, is first seed, and Shahier Razik, also in the Top 20 world players, is second seed. Representing White Oaks are Niagara players Chad Dommasch, Chris Sachvie, and Nicholas Sachvie. In the Women's Open, Alana Miller and Runa Reta, both among the Top 25 female squash players in the world, are seeded #1 and #2 respectively.

In addition to the Men's and Women's Opens, all age groups from 30+ to 75+ will be represented and many Niagara Ontario squash players will be present. In the 35+ category, Chris Draayer will represent The Club at White Oaks, as will Scott McLachlan in the 40+ division. Additionally, representing The Club at White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa in the Women's A is Kathy Najbert.
