Today's hospitals must juggle the evolving standards of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to achieve regulatory compliance, ensure compensation, and provide quality patient care. Failure to do so leads to immediate and severe consequences for the hospitals and communities they serve.

UNIQUE REQUIREMENTS AND SURVEY PROCESS OF CMS

Led by seasoned consultant and healthcare leader Amanda S. Brown, RN, BSN, MSM, CIC, this two-day workshop will address the unique requirements and survey process of CMS, and equip participants with strategies for achieving compliance in their own hospitals.

The purpose of "CMS Bootcamp: Achieving Compliance, Avoiding Chaos" is to provide hospital quality and nursing directors with the specific skills and knowledge needed to navigate CMS Conditions of Participation.

Following participation in this education opportunity, attendees will be able to:

  • Differentiate between the standards and survey processes of The Joint Commission and CMS

  • Identify hot-button standards and issues for 2011

  • Apply strategies for meeting departmental and global Conditions of Participation within their own hospital settings

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

Though not an ANCC CEU provider, Compass Clinical Consulting will provide all required paperwork to allow attendees to apply for CEU credits following the seminar.
