CMTC Helps Companies Keep Their New Year's Resolution to Get Lean in 2007

2 Separate Lean (Office & Product Development) Events in Westlake Village 2/7-2/8

TORRANCE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 24, 2007 -- Lean principles have been applied to business processes for almost 50 years now and companies that employ these principles have reaped huge economic benefit -- improving quality, costs and cycle time. Given the considerable time and resources companies spend in the development of products and doing administrative tasks, many managers, owners and executives want to know if there isn't a way to apply Lean to both of these processes.

California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC) has the answer. As a leading practitioner of Lean through its Speed-To-Market™ branded services and products, CMTC has developed two unique toolkits to assist companies in the front office and in product development.

On February 7, 2007, CMTC will present its Lean Product Development (LPD) workshop in Westlake Village. CMTC senior consultants will walk attendees through the development process, so that companies can get their products to market quicker and with lower costs. CMTC will introduce an LPD toolkit and other methodologies aimed to improve the design to manufacturing process.

On the following day, February 8, CMTC will showcase its tremendously popular Lean Office workshop also in Westlake Village. The workshop will include a lean office simulation to improve and deploy companies' effective administrative processes. This workshop will help participants identify and eliminate waste in the office and will provide an economic framework for determining which lean techniques will yield the greatest payback. CMTC consultants will divulge strategies for identifying, implementing, institutionalizing and sustaining improvement to your office.

Both events start 8 AM at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza in Thousand Oaks, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village, California, USA 91361. For more or to register call Sunny Lopez at (310) 263-3009 or go online at
