CN applauds Lorie Kane's investiture into the Order of Canada

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 15, 2006) - CN congratulates LPGA touring professional Lorie Kane on being invested as a Member of the Order of Canada. Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaelle Jean, Governor General of Canada, who is Chancellor and Principal Companion of the Order, presided at the investiture ceremony at Rideau Hall today in Ottawa. CN became a major sponsor of Lorie Kane in 2006.

In addition to being one of Canada's premier golfers, Kane serves as an excellent role model and inspiration to young athletes. A native of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Kane is also a well-known volunteer who participates in many fundraising events.

The 2007 CN Canadian Women's Open will take place August 13-19 at the Royal Mayfair Golf and Country Club in Edmonton, Alberta.
