CN Tower Wine Cellar Designated "World's Highest" by Guinness World Records

At 10:30 am on November 8, 2006, Guinness World Records representative Carey Low presented CN Tower's Chief Operating Officer Jack Robinson with the Guinness World Record for World's Highest Wine Cellar (in a building or tower) as part of International Guinness World Record Day.

Following some brief remarks, Mr. Low and Mr. Robinson stepped into 360 The Restaurant at the CN Tower's Wine "Cellar in the Sky" located within the restaurant at 351m (1,151 feet) where the official Guinness World Record for "World's Highest Wine Cellar" was presented to Mr. Robinson.

"360 is renowned for its cuisine and ambiance and we're thrilled to have our very unique Cellar in the Sky recognized with the distinction of a Guinness World Record." said Robinson. "The CN Tower has had a long history with Guinness World Records and has continued to hold the GWR as "World's Tallest" for over 30 years, a record that GWR was here on April 2, 1975 to witness and present."

Following the phenomenally successful launch of its inaugural Guinness World Record Day in November last year, the world's biggest selling book is gearing up for the biggest record-breaking event the world has ever seen. GWR Day encourages everyone in the world to make or break their very own record. The CN Tower's GWR presentation today is held in sync with records being established around the world including Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, South Africa, New Zealand, USA, Singapore, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Italy, Germany and France.

At 1,151 feet, it is the World's Highest and it's also one of the most beautiful.
