CNG-SAFE Recognized as a Top 20 Product for Today's Small Business Market

CRN Tech Center Showcases Products and Technologies That Deliver Value and Drive New Business

HUNTSVILLE, AL--(Marketwire - September 21, 2009) - Cabinet NG (CNG), provider of document management and workflow software, today announced that its Shared Access Filing Environment (CNG-SAFE) has been reviewed and recognized by the CRN Test Center as a Top 20 SMB Product. CRN Test Center reviewers took a look at security, storage, infrastructure and peripherals to find ample areas where products fit the bill. CNG-SAFE received 4 out of 5 Tech stars and 4 out of 5 Channel stars. To make the list, a product had to first meet two basic criteria: It had to minimize cost and eliminate complexity. After that, products were examined on their merits as to what business problem it solved, if the product actually worked, and if it was better geared for a business with between one and 1,000 employees or if it was a better consumer product or large enterprise product.

"Changing a workflow or work process inside an organization, even a small or midsize one, isn't the easiest action in the world. So when we began to look at CNG's workflow solution, we started with a dose of skepticism," said Edward Moltzen, Managing Editor, CRN Test Center. "The product cured us of that, and we found that it's a nice, efficient workflow solution that can be deployed in midmarket enterprises and some sophisticated small businesses."

CNG-SAFE consolidates all information into one organized and easy-to-use system. It was designed to deploy easily on Windows 2003 or Windows 2008, and the client systems work on any flavor of Windows from XP Pro on up. It requires Windows SQL Server 2005 Express, or more advanced versions of the Microsoft database software, but is a very simple, straightforward and wizard-based installation and configuration.

"This award guides the reseller community on selling technology that delivers for their customers while improving their own bottom line," said James True, VP of Business Development for CNG. "It showcases CNG along side of SMB stalwarts including Acer, Cisco, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Intuit, and Microsoft. CNG may not have the name recognition of these leaders, but our clients, channel partners and industry pundits continuously recognize our technical superiority in the SMB document management industry."
