CNSC: Notice of Public Hearing

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 6, 2005) - The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) will hold a one-day public hearing to consider an application by Earth Sciences Extraction Company (ESEC) for the renewal of its licence to operate a uranium recovery facility located in Calgary, Alberta.



One-Day Hearing: November 30, 2005
Place: CNSC Public Hearing Room, 14th Floor,
280 Slater Street, Ottawa, Ontario


Public hearings follow the agenda published prior to the hearing date.

Submissions from CNSC staff and ESEC for the Commission's hearing on the licence renewal will be available October 27, 2005. The public is invited to intervene at the public hearing either by written submission or by oral presentation and written submission. Requests to intervene must be filed with the Secretary of the Commission by November 14, 2005 at the address below. In accordance with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission Rules of Procedure, requests to intervene must include a written submission and, where applicable, the text of any oral presentation to be made to the Commission.
