CNSC/Notice of Public Hearing-Ref. 2005-H-13

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 5, 2005) - The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) will hold two public hearings on applications by General Electric Canada, Toronto, Ontario for the renewal of the operating licences for two nuclear fuel fabrication facilities. The facilities are located in Toronto and Peterborough, Ontario.



Hearings Day One: September 14, 2005
Place: CNSC Public Hearing Room, 14th floor,
280 Slater Street, Ottawa, Ontario

Hearings Day Two: December 1, 2005
Place: CNSC Public Hearing Room, 14th floor,
280 Slater Street, Ottawa, Ontario


Public hearings follow the agenda published prior to the hearing date.

The public is invited to comment on the applications either by oral presentation or written submission on Hearings Day Two. Requests to intervene and text of oral presentations or written submissions must be filed with the Secretary of the Commission by October 31, 2005 at the address below. Please specify whether the intervention is with respect to the Toronto facility, the Peterborough facility, or both facilities.
