Coastal Flow Announces Latest BirdDog System Release

BirdDog Remote Data Retrieval System Version 3.4 Is Now Available

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Oct 28, 2011) - Coastal Flow Gas Measurement today announced the release of version 3.4 of the company's BirdDog™ Remote Data Retrieval System. This newest system, to which all BirdDog users automatically have access when logged into the host site, provides enhanced productivity features... such as the addition of a Notes function that will allow users to write, append, and share annotations across all data archives and daily volume records, along with the ability to set high-low warning limits for critical operational parameters which, in turn, produce distinctly color-highlighted data cells whenever triggered. Also, system User Instructions are now online and just a click away, as is the Contact Us page.

In addition to the BirdDog System functional enhancements, new security provisions have been implemented through the use of an HTTPS website to provide full SSL encryption of sensitive and proprietary information. This is complemented by a new, completely redesigned log-in page that employs single sign-on functionality. Now, with just one user account, log-in will provide direct access to all entitled BirdDog and related systems. And as systems are added or removed from user profiles, the single sign-on process will automatically recognize those changes and access rights.

The BirdDog System provides access to information from monitored remote locations through a convenient web interface, with BirdDog Morning Reports delivered daily via e-mail. Data is collected and logged according to AGA 14.3 and stored in an API Chapter 21.1 compliant format, essential for downstream review, recalculation, volume reporting, and auditing. And the BirdDog System allows scheduling of routine data retrieval polling and automatic updates to reports and graphs for subsequent viewing and analysis. Advanced security features permit data to be selectively viewed according to the end-user, specific parameters, and monitored locations. Alarms on exception may be sent as text messages to cell phones and pagers, or directly to e-mail accounts, with a satellite-based alarm option for critical equipment or conditions which warrant immediate notifications.
