Safety and Innovation Take Center Stage With Unveiling of New Universal Remote CB Microphone System for All 4-Pin CB Radios

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Aug 24, 2011) - Cobra Electronics Corporation (NASDAQ: COBR), the number one choice of professional drivers and the leading manufacturer of Citizens Band (CB) Radios, today announced it will showcase some of its newest and most innovative electronics for professional drivers in booth #16074 at the Great American Trucking Show. The event is the nation's second-largest trucking trade show, offering attendees informational sessions, educational seminars from industry leaders, and a glimpse at the latest trends and developments in trucking. This event takes place August 25-27 at the Dallas Convention Center.

While at the Great American Trucking Show, Cobra Electronics will demonstrate its entire lineup of industry-leading GPS Navigation and CB Radio products for professional drivers, including the award-winning Cobra 7750 Platinum Navigation System, the Cobra 5550 Pro 5-inch GPS Navigation System, and the Cobra 29 LX CB Radio.

At the show, Cobra will also publicly unveil the new Remote CB Microphone System, offering truckers safe and convenient remote control operation of all standard 4-pin CB radios from Cobra, as well as all other CB radio manufacturers. The system consists of an ergonomic headset with retractable cord, a state-of-the-art boom microphone featuring noise canceling technology, and a heavy-duty push-to-talk (PTT) button that allows professional drivers to safely operate their CB radio without ever moving their hands or taking their eyes off the road.
